Our Story
The seasoning continued to gain popularity and its name was later changed to Alpine Touch. In 1989, Mark Southard, a whitefish local, was offered an opportunity to purchase the Alpine Touch business.
In the early nineties, Whitefish began to boom as a resort ski town. In 1993, in search of a quieter existence, Mark moved the business to a small town on the other side of the Rocky Mountains named Choteau. In 1994 he married his wife Vicki Southard and, they continued the legacy of Alpine Touch together for the next 18 years.
In 2012, Mark and Vicki pursued retirement and the possibility of passing on the business to someone with the desire to keep it in Montana and available to its faithful customers all across the country.
The Ekegren Family, with their roots in Choteau, took over Alpine Touch at the beginning of 2013. Their commitment to keeping it part of the Choteau community and maintaining its small town customer service made it the perfect fit.
Alpine Touch Seasonings continues to gain popularity. The unique All Purpose blend developed over 50 years ago is "Still the Best".
